Discovery Home Channel’s “Green That House” Comes to Claremont
Home of Fibercare & Service Owner Gets Green Makeover to Create Non-Toxic Environment

(Pasadena, CA)–Green has been making a splash and it’s not for the color of money.  The use of non-toxic chemicals and sustainable products that are healthy, lifestyle choices for individuals and the environment are taking center stage. The home of Claremont resident Margaret Rose Renzullo, owner of Fibercare & Service, will be featured on Discovery Home Channel’s new documentary “GREEN THAT HOUSE.”

From the producers of The Learning Channel’s “FLIP THAT HOUSE,” “GREEN THAT HOUSE” will document the process of how to make your house an eco-friendly home. Renzullo’s home will be one of only 26 homes featured in the show’s first season, which will begin airing in November 2007.

“As part of GREEN THAT HOUSE, your project will serve as an example of what homeowners all across the country can do to reduce their overall environmental impact and make their home a healthier environment to live in,” R.J. Bain, “GREEN THAT HOUSE” segment producer, told Renzullo in a letter congratulating her for the selection of her home.

From space planning and choosing color palettes to selection of tile and flooring, Renzullo created the interior design plans of her home.  Certified green building professional, Kristina Urbanas Spencer of Setting the Stage Interior Designer, Allied Member of American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), will be augmenting Renzullo’s interior designs by adding green design principles.  Having met at an ASID Pasadena Chapter meeting where Renzullo is also an ASID Industry Partner representing Fibercare & Service, a fabric and carpet protection company for distinguished clients, Spencer and Renzullo decided to join green forces to create an eco-friendly environment home.

Living many years with allergies exacerbated by the toxins and products in her home, Renzullo is finally going to experience relief.  “Allergies are a nuisance to everyday living. I can’t wait to live in a green home that will decrease allergic symptoms,” said Renzullo, who already encourages her Fibercare & Service’s clients to use water-based protectants on their fiber installations.

The green renovation of Renzullo’s house is underway as well as the filming.  To learn more about Margaret Rose Renzullo and Fibercare & Service, call (800) 273-2096 or e-mail her at fibercare411@hotmail.com
